Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles use both a battery and an electric motor, as well as a gasoline engine. If the battery is low, the engine continues to drive. The vehicle can be charged using an electrical outlet or charging station.
How Charging Works
There are two charging levels available. The Uconnect® Hybrid Pages allow you to program a charging schedule; simply select the time of day that your vehicle will automatically charge when plugged in. Making a charging schedule is more environmentally friendly and can help keep electricity costs down because, in many areas, charging during times of low demand, such as at night, results in cheaper rates.
Option 1: Casual & Convenient
Charge with any standard three-prong outlet in as little as 12 hours by plugging in the 115 V charging cable included with your vehicle
Option 2: Specialized for Speed
Charge at home or a commercial charging station in as little as 2 hours by using professionally installed 240 V charging dock available from Mopar®
